Kirikú es un niño muy valiente, independiente y generoso que sabe muy bien lo que quiere. Kirikú ha nacido en un poblado africano en el que no existen las flores ni el agua por un maleficio de la hermosa bruja Karabá ha extendido sobre ellos. Incluso los hombres han desaparecido, algunos dicen que se los ha comido la bruja. Entonces el valiente Kirikú viaja hasta la Montaña Prohibida donde su sabio abuelo, que conoce todos los secretos que esconde la bruja Karabá y que le ayudará para liberar a su pueblo.
Esta película nos ayuda a pensar en que hay que ser menos conformistas, y preguntar los porqués de las cosas sin aceptar respuestas fáciles. Es un buen mensaje para todos, y sobretodo para nuestros crios.

Aunque hay otro post con esta peli, la que dejo aquí es un divx que hice de la original.

El Estudio Ghibli (スタジオジブリ, Sutajio Jiburi?) es un estudio japonés de animación. Sus películas de anime han sido provocativas, imaginativas, emotivas y extensamente elogiadas por todo el mundo.*

Su nombre deriva del apodo que los italianos usan para sus aviones de exploración del Sahara en la Segunda Guerra Mundial, el cual deriva de la palabra italiana usada para el viento caliente que sopla en el desierto del Sahara. Aunque el nombre es del italiano, la pronunciación cuando se refiere al Estudio es 'ji-bree' o 'ji-bu-ri', para adaptarse a la fonética de la lengua japonesa. La teoría detrás del nombre era que ellos estaban "soplando" un nuevo viento en la industria del anime.*

Fundado en 1985, está dirigido por el altamente galardonado director Hayao Miyazaki (宮崎 駿 Miyazaki Hayao) junto a su colega y mentor Isao Takahata. Sus orígenes datan de 1983, con la película Nausicaä del Valle del Viento (風の谷のナウシカ Kaze no tani no Naushika, 1984), que empezó como un manga en una publicación de la revista Tokuma Shoten (徳間書店).
